Lets Get Down To Business

So obviously, this blog is connected to our promotions group President Evil, and so it was also obvious that some of the content on here was going to be about our nights! So here's the first!

Its going down at Platinum Bar on linthorpe road, which is a newly refurbished and largely undiscovered venue, with a kick ass new soundsystem and bar, so it was down to us to put un undiscovered live acts, and kick ass dj's who dont tend to make many appearances down our way.

Im even boring myself with all the promotey banter now, lets get to the tunes!

First up on the evening will be our boy KID FREAKOUT, formerly of the duo Troniks, Kid Freakouts productions have come on in leaps and bounds, & takes on the greats with his projects, remixing the likes of Franz Ferdinand, Digitalism, MSTRKRFT, Ladyhawke & now Disco Villains -

Disco Villains - Cali Love (Kid Freakout Remix)

Also, being the nice fella that he is, he sent us this over -

Kid Freakout January Mix

I got sent this little gem just the other day and the vocal lines have been glazed on my brain ever since. Not quite what id have expected from Crookers, but thats definately not a bad thing, infact its quite a refreshing to get something like this after il brutto & love to edit.

Smooth Vocal Sampling, really subtle basslines, melodic synth action and some weird precussion going on makes this track far from a party banger, but ideal for some coffee and interwebbing time!

Miike Snow - Animal (Crookers Remix)

THIS IS THE DAWNING OF THE AGE OF AQUARIUS!

Welcome one and all!

Firstly I'd like to use this time to introduce the key players in this blog before we start the ball rolling with new tracks, free give-aways & information on club nights and so on.

Mr Reginald Lambstein, more commonly known as lam, is one half of DJ Duo, Atom Brain, and one half of the promotions company
, President Evil, who, as of friday 13th febuary will be bringing you Middlesbroughs new clubnight, BUSHIDO!

Stone Cold Steve Jones
, myself, is the other half of the above enterprises, which is erm, two halfs? a hole? that cant be right, anyway, its 11am, nothing is supposed to make sense in that limbo between breakfast and lunch apart from Jeremy Kyle and so on.

We're both very much looking forward to seeing where we can take this blog, what future events of ours we can feature & what music we can get to your ears, as well as keeping you informed on other blogs! All very exciting at the moment, and with myspace and facebook being like ghost towns nowadays, blogs have always been the more exciting, informal and fun way to provide people with E-Goodies.
